Off Topic Good Buddies

This little Western toad and insatina salamander have been sharing the same piece of plywood in my yard for several weeks now. These creatures are endemic to my property.

I love ensatina and toads! Suprising that they are still out this time of the year...I take it is still still kinda moist up there?

So far they are easy to find, but it is drying up quickly in the Sierra Nevada foothills.
I do find them in mid summer under firewood and such, or anything that can hold moisture.

About three inches, and is most likely a female as the females have fatter tails than the males.
