Boa Cages

lisa14526 May 07, 2012 12:12 PM

Hi, I was hoping to get some info on Cages for Boas. I am not handy when it comes to tools or assembling anything. But it seems like a lot of the cages that you get by mail order need assembling, or gluing, or some of the electrical. I am sure it is cheaper to ship unassembled.

I was looking for anything along the lines of AP, Vision, or Boaphile style cages, or even a large Rack System.

Has anyone ever ordered a fully Assembled Cage, or Rack System that I could use for a Male BCI?

Or, I live close to Rochester, NY, and can drive to the Buffalo, Syracuse area of New York. Is there a Reptile Store that anyone happens to know about that carries these cages for Pick Up?

You already named the Guy I go to . . . .Jeff the Boaphile producer of the Boaphile Plastics cages.

He's a great guy and takes calls for orders and customer service,
he'll talk you through setting up the Boaphile stack with
thermostat when you purchase from him.

The most popular cage model people get or purchase from Boaphile Plastics is the 421D,
extremely affordable, the price includes shipping.

These cages are heat bent so there are no seems on three of the four long corners, that's a huge plus no leaks.

That one seem that does get chemically welded is on the top in the back.

Then your end pieces are two rectangular pieces that are placed in the opening and chemically welded in place.

So this is a leak proof cage with a beautiful see through acrylic door
with secure handles and locks availble.

They are shipped to you fully constructed normally, unless you make some special request . . . .

I believe they are "Boa baby making devices" !

All my custom wood cages come completely assembled. THESE CAGES ARE NOT YOUR STANDARD MELAMINE CAGES. They will not absorb water like melamine can once the surface is scratched. These cages are built to last! My cages are expensive to ship as they are completely assembled so it has to be shipped with a trucking company. UPS will not ship them as they are to big.

Take care
Tom

A few of plastic cage vendors routinely attend the White Plains NY Reptile Show. No assembly required.

What sizes are you looking for?

Check out Ed's cages. I have owned all of the others you have listed and some others as well. These are where to go if buying new now...
