This may be a weird question, but why is the one egg clear-ish? Was the outer shell removed? Is there a reason for doing that?

I only ask cause I've seen it in a lot of hognose clutch pictures and am curious as to why that happens or is done.

THanks All........Toffee Belly eggs for some reason turn clear when the snake pips. Good topic for a research paper. Don't know the science involved. But it is really cool. It is not any kind of calcium deficiency as the egg shell is fine until the snake starts to pip. Here are some from last year. Mike Bodner
