I have dealt with all to well you are talking about. You bring interesting fact, yet, may be generalistic in point of view. Yes, we are an ignorant species but answer this. As much as we may speculate, and question. There are many answers that are already known and just need reprimanding. Please tell me, Curiosity, why are we in the predicament in which we already survive among many and how they interact with those who can take us out of this world and yet don't? why do we fund billions in space explration and yet allow citizens here starve. Is it the determination to see what's ahead or to bring the problems here, there?
Or, how do you kill what's already dead?

one word my man, "Power". Every human strives to attain it and every human would love to have all of it.

Rat jerky?
No.
Rat Burger?
Yes.
When I was stationed in Kosovo for a short period of time in the Army, there was a little stand near the gate where a guy sold hamburgers. They were the best I'd had in a while, and all the other soldiers agreed. These burgers were so good, that there was a line there everyday.
We jokingly called them rat burgers, because we never really saw many cows while flying around. Well as it turns out, the Veterinary Unit in the Army is also the food inspection unit, they went to this guys home to ask him questions about his stand, and found him in the barn with cut up beef, goat and horse, and he was caught and confessed to tossing the rats that gathered in the feed into the mix also.
Sadly, a few soldiers didn't enjoy the news, but quite a few of us missed the little stand.
