L. t. temporalis clutch

Dniles May 09, 2012 08:20 PM

I got a clutch of 4 good eggs (as well as 4 slugs) from this female hypo temporalis today. I'm pretty happy about it considering she gave me all slugs with her first clutch this year.

I rarely will double clutch an animal but this girl will keep producing slugs all summer anyway so I figured I might as well try to get good eggs from her rather than have her waste her resources on producing slugs all summer.

Here she is in a few more older photos

the sire is a hypo too but I don't have any pics of him.

Thanks Mike. The male is about the same size as the female pictured in the post. These temps are decent size and they are bigger than the Tyrrell temps I work with. Did I understand your question?

Congrats Dave, 4 is better than none. I still think those Hypo's are more of a T plus than a Hypo. She is really nice example of one too.

Hey Jimmy

I agree with you about them being Tpositive. Actually on my website that's what I call my animals.

Dave, did you bleach out your syspila?! Only kidding - that thing is unreal. What an animal you've got there.

How many clutches a year does she typically lay? Three? Four?

Thanks Cole. If she is not bred, she will just randomly drop slugs all summer long starting in May through July early August. I am hoping after this second clutch there will be nothing else until next spring!!
