Today, my youngest sister is off for her first deployment. I feel very old all of a sudden. She couldn't tell me where, she is pretty tough though, I know she will do good. I feel very proud and sad, she is 9 years younger than me and she's going to do this super important thing. It blows me away just how young our soldiers are and how awesome they are to do what they do. I love you Jenny, come home safe!

The older we get.....they younger they look, but in reality it is the same. I was 24 when I went into the Army.

U.S. Army, Infantry
Airborne!

I know it is different if it is your child.....no matter how old they are.

She will come home safe.

Gerard, you can tell her many here on the forum are proud of her and we hope she has a safe mission. (I think I can speak for most on that at least) By the way, YOU are not old brother. Your sister is just way young!! (and very pretty I might add!)

Yeah, I'm going to be 30 this year, not as seasoned as some here but still a big number. She just turned 21 and has been in since she was 19, now she's a MP and all kinds of bad ass. It would really suck to have the US military coming after you, they don't play around at all.

You forgot to mention how beautiful she is. We are all proud of her. We are thankful and blessed to have people like her to step up to the plate. Please tell Jenny, Thank you for her service. We owe her so much more than just a thank you.
