McMullen female annulata update

John Fraser May 27, 2012 07:29 AM

Hi All, My old wild-caught McMullen county female annulata that I acquired from her finder, Jeff Adams of San Antonio, TX, dropped a clutch of 6 eggs a week or two back, only 3-4 look good to me, but thats okay considering she is 20 years old or so & that she was bred again to the 25-plus yr old wc male that I posted the earlier story on here awhile back. Also, in the lower photo, is one of her F1 daughters who is also currently very gravid, but hasnt even went into her pre-egg lay shed yet. So Cole & Dell, there is a good chance I can offer you some neonates later this season....John

Hi John,
Please don't forget that I need a male (or two) to pair up with the two beautiful females I obtained from you last year.

Brad, You, Stu & Jeff are all on the list first for males, so I hopefully will get you paired up this season. Cole & Dell may have tp start with females only if I don't produce enough males, lol...they will understand....

That daughter does appear gravid indeed. Hopefull you will get a beautiful clutch of big eggs! Is she a bit lighter in color in real life?

Dennis, Thanks for the reply, yes, she is lighter than her mother snake.

It's cool to see a milk snake still producing after 20 years. And that gravid F1 girl is plump!

Very nice John... as have been many of your posts. I'm rather surprised though in the implication that Cole and/or Dell might be lacking or in need of any NA milk... thought those two had everything!

Gerry, They (Cole & Dell) DO have some killer NA milks, but I guess they just appreciate having a few more locality triangulum, that they want & need.. lol...

they want & need

funny how that line can become blurred... as I myself am learning all too well!
