What do you think?

I got a nice clutch of babies from my sunglow male bred to an anery het albino female. Second time ive produced the pair. I can't figure this guy out, any thought on what you might think it is? The first time i produced with my female, i got a similar baby but it was kinked and didn't live long,I assumed its red color didn't develop. Now i've produced one this year. He does not look like any of his sibs (sunglows, albinos, hypos, and a couple of normals)I would think he was an anery, but out of 20 babies 2 years in a row only 1 anery? No snows or moonglows? Any thoughts?

Here is a sample from a clutch born today from a ghost male (poss super) bred to a female (hog island X het snow columbian). All the babies appear to be hypo, but i guess the female didn't prove to be het anery. This one is my favorite.

What sex is it. Also, what morph ratios did you get in the litters from this pairing.

I ended up with 6 sunglows, 4 albinos, 6 hypos, 3 definite normals, and this one. Didn't check the sex yet. Also their were 6 slugs in the litter and 2 snakes that looked like snows, but they died shortly after birth.

I may have missunderstood. IF you ment the hog columbian x ghost, i got all different degrees of hypo. I need them to shed so i can sort them out.

You just answered your question. You initially stated that in the litter there were no snows or moonglows, however you now say there were two that looked like snows that died shortly after birth. That strongly suggests your male is also het anery. Alternatively, there is a small chance the two snows and the anery are the result of parthenogenetic reproduction. If they are sexed as female, this adds to the story, but without DNA genotyping the litter I could not confirm 100%.

Thanks for the insight Warren. It is curious that an anery if bred to a het anery would yeild such a small amount of anery offspring. Incidentally, the "anery looking" baby is a female, maybe adding to the parthenogenetic reproduction question.
