Hi everyone... I have a question about heating a snake rack. I recently built a 6 foot rack for 28 qt. bins. I am keeping corns, milks, and kings. On each shelf (there are 8 sheleves)there are two 28 qt. bins side by side. Should I run two 11 inch Flexwatt tapes down the back (left and right side) or just one 11 inch flexwatt down the middle? This is my first snake rack. It has 6 shelves, each of which is heated by a strip of 4in flexwatt along the back. Each shelf has it's own thermometer, and is controlled by it's own dimmer switch. Rather than hardwire the fexwatt to the dimmers, I chose to wire each dimmer to it's own outlet (they're in back, can't see them here) and then I just plug the flexwatt into the outlet for that shelf. I am only using the top 3 shelves at the moment, so I haven't added the other dimmers (on the right at top), and I'm using the lower shelves as storage.
