Rats Vs. Mice

H_nasicus Jun 01, 2012 11:45 AM

My hoggies are currently on mice fuzzies and hoppers. I have a friend that keeps insisting I switch to rat pinks because they're more nutritious.

What do you all feed your hoggies? Are rats really better than mice? Would a rat pinky have less calcium (bones) than a hopper and would one need to provide a calcium supplement with the rat pink?

I prefer to feed a mouse with better bone development over a smaller rat of the same size that's more fat. Hogs seem to do better with smaller more frequent meals over a meal that's going to bloat them and that they may regurgitate. Just my opinion.
