Spike is burmating.. and i went in to change out his carpet and i left the top off of his cage because, well, he looked like he was gonna snooze.. so i finished cleaning up everybody's cages and moved on to the ones in other rooms... about 20 mins later i here a noise comin from the herp room but don't think much of it because the water dragons tend to make a ton of noise jumping from plant to plant... after i clean out the frog tanks, fish tanks, and feed the babes.. i go outside to clean the kennels... i take a quick peek at spike's cage through the window to see if he had gotten up.. and to my horror.. he wasn't in his cage.. that noise i had heard shortly after i had left the room was spike escaping!!!! ...i was frantic...i have 5 dogs and the herp room's door was wide open..i gathered the troops.. kicked the dogs outside and began my search.. i looked high and low.. around the water dragon cages (he loves to pester them).. cricket bins.. behind the treadmill.... in every room and still couldn't find him..my dad came to help and brought a flashlight and we still could not find him..so i started pulling bins out from under the bed.. i got all the bins out and still could not find him..so out of desperation i started calling his name.. and i see his head turn.. here he was 12 inches from my face staring at me for probably 10 mins as i pull bins out from under the bed and i couldn't see him....i probably looked under the bed 10 times and couldn't see him...so after a long frantic search he was less than 3 feet from his cage ..sleeping under the bed... the moral of this story....keep the screen on the cages, get better glasses, and try not to be sooo blonde

pick their owner by hair color

I think at one time or another we all have "misplaced" a dragon, and we usually find them when they are watching us looking around, I think they find all the activity interesting to watch!
