Hi, just wondering if anybbody out there knew this. The first part should be pretty easy, the second is the real question.
What does the Jefferson Salamander cross with and what is so unusual about the offspring?

A hybrid between a blue-spotted salamander and a smallmouth salamander, I belive. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I don't think there is anything so 'special' about them, in fact they can be hard to distinguish between blue-spotteds.
Thanks,

My limited understanding is that they breed with Blue spotteds. The Jeffersons are a good deal bigger than the Blue Spots. The Jeffersons I have are mellower, like Spotted Sals and nearly as big. Where the only Blue Spot I have is half again the size and much more willing to take food out of my hand. But obviously the temperament might not be valid id but just individual.
