Help decide what is what axanthic combo?

deron Jun 14, 2012 02:07 PM

Hey... just hatched out a sweet clutch that I have been working on for 4 years. Can you tell out of the axanthics what style of axanthics they are. The father is a lemon/mojave het. axanthic and the mother is an axanthic...all VPI lineage of axanthic. The top shot is the whole clutch. What do you think???

Congratulations! That is a very awesome clutch.

When you say "lemon/mojave", what is the lemon part? Are you saying dad is both mojave and one of the pastel lines?

I'm no expert (have my own ID problems right now) but for what it's worth my guess is that you have two axanthic mojavies which is what I would be most hyped about. I could see one of the others being a axanthic pastel maybe. Not sure how you would tell if any of the mojavies was also pastel if pastel is in this breeding.

Hey Randy, Yeah the ID thing is crazy now days. The father is a Pastave with the lemon gene being the pastel lineage.
I was thinking the same thing you are, I think the axanthic in the front is a lemon pastel axanthic, and then the one up to the right might just be the pastave axanthic (i sure hope), but its hard to tell, since this is my first attempt for the pastave axanthic.

Very Nice Odds!!! I see 2 Mojo Axa, 1 Lemon Axa, 1 Axa... One of the non-axanthic Mojos could be Pastel as well but the picture is too shiny to tell. Wait until they shed and you will see it!!!

Congrats

Yes... its me. Is that you M J from Marion??? The one looks like its a pastave(lemon pastel/mojave) axanthic. I am stoked about it none the less.

I see the Axanthic Mojos but not sure about the Pastel? Sweet looking snakes regardless. Keep us updated....

Sometimes it needs to be seen in person, though
