Any hope?

Long story but this little guy escaped his feeding cage. The next day I opened my sliding patio door and found him but his lower jaw got mangled when the door opened. Do you think there is any hope? The pic is 4 days after the incident. Sorry for the poor quality pic.

years ago when i was still in high school my biology teacher brought in a 3' bull snake for me with a jaw that was not only mangled but destroyed... it was really bad and looked like it would be impossible for it to eat anything.

I decided to test it though. I started with a large f/t fuzzy and it ate it... just very slowly. Then i tried a f/t large mouse and same thing... ate but it took a while. Finally i decided to try a live mouse to see if it was capeable of holding on to prey... sure enough, it managed. since i only had it for about 2.5 weeks and it was able to catch live prey, i released it about 300 meters away from the dirt road my teacher found it.

so, from my experince snakes are very tough and resilient animals and can truck on even with a bad injury. I'd see if the animal can eat very small prey... if so it will heal (might be crooked) but it will reach a point to where its not an issue. however, if it can't eat, i'd euthanize it.
