Bee Help

RandyRemington Jun 14, 2012 11:52 PM

Just hatched out a clutch from a spider bred by a pastel YB that I've always wondered if got chocolate from his mom (my founder Garcia line chocolate).

Does the fading on this pastel spider indicate it's also chocolate?

Any chance of yellow belly in there too?

Here is a sister that I think is a chocolate pastel yellow belly

And here is dad who I also think is too dark to be just pastel yellow belly without chocolate

This is my first spider gene clutch and only my 2nd pastel yb so am I just dreaming here?

Wow, really nice snakes. I would say that Bee has Choclate 100%, as YellowBelly I'm not sure, but I wouldn't say it does. The Pastel Yb Chocolate in question would be easier to say if there was a belly shot/side pattern shot. As for the sire I am pretty confident that he is not "just" a Pastel YB, i.e. he has Chocolate. Great snakes. Keep it up.

Thanks! Just finally knowing that the sire pastel yb is a chocolate pastel yb has been a long time coming. He and his yb sister where my first yb and I just didn't know how dark they could be without chocolate.

I guess I'll have to hang on to the chocolate bee and see if it proves to also be yellow belly. Would be awesome to hit the 1 in 16 quad in this 5 egg clutch. Here is another sister that I think might be pastel spider yb that was going to be my keeper before the chocolate bee came out:

Here is a belly edge on the pastel yb that I think might also be chocolate based on how dark she is for a pastel yb:

And here is one more angle of her:

Thanks. The mystic is a chow hound so I should have him shed out for his beauty shots in no time.

Randy that thing is awesome!!! Congrats! I have no chocolates, but I would "guess" yes based on the stuff I've seen.

I have very little pastel yb experience to go by but I'm hoping the amount and blackness of the dark along with the faded back of the head of this one indicates she's a chocolate pastel yb like dad.
