Blood 50% Hog litter, Bill Kirby line

kblumenthal Jun 21, 2012 10:06 AM

I came home from work a few days ago to find my het Blood 50% Hog dropped her litter at 101 days POS. She was bred by a het Blood 50% Hog male, and both parents were produced by Bill Kirby. A perfect litter with no stills or slugs, fully absorbed yolks, and she delivered them on the warm end of the cage (I think that's a first for me...). She did great and is in terrific shape after she dropped her babies. The litter consisted of 3 Bloods 50% Hog, and 16 66% het Bloods 50% Hog. There is definitely a nice variety of color in the litter, and the Bloods are absolutely killer! Huge kudos go to Bill Kirby for having the vision to start this project, and I'm honored to help carry it through for him.

Mom (in her prego state):

Some burned-in side color:

If you like bloods, that is a great project to be involved with in my opinion. Best of luck with them. Mike Panichi
