Stop the Sdz and offer gutt loaded dusted crickets, and kingmeal worms and I would offer some Uvb also. Sound like MBD.Also Take him to a vet . Sdz is only good if the mixture is exact 10lbs turkey 90 grams of bone meal and 1 centruim Vit. If you use something els other than bone meal It does not provide the proper amounts of calcuim . Good luck and Keep us updated. Russ

Just kidding! Kids, don't try this at home.

First syptom of a tegus diet being short of calcium or a clacium imbalance is twitching.
Twitching starts in the toes , moves to the feet , legs , then results in full body shakes unless diet is corrected .

If baby tegus are fed nothing but gut loaded crickets lightly dusted with Miner Al untill they are large enough to eat hopper size mice they won't develope this problem . Once hopper size mice are taken continue feeding dusted crickets/ king meal worms and nothing else untill the animal is large enough that it will no longer want to chase down a cricket .

Forgot to add get him some full spectrum lighting (UVB ) in his cage if he doesn't have it already . It really does seem to help alot.
