Gold tegus are a morph of the Columbian tegu, T. teguixin. They get to about 3 1/2 feet long are are a little more agressive/skittish then Argentine tegus and blue tegu.

Back in the early 90's I saw a freshly imported gold that was very gold and very big. It was an amazing animal I have yet to see another one like it. They seem to be generally the most aggressive of the tegus.
