Is that a new Sinaloan?

Disclaimer: I do keep several snakes in pairs, and some in groups. However I realize that things can go wrong, and I have to keep a close eye on those groups, to be sure they are not being adversely affected by these living conditions. Also if one happens to eat it's cagemate, it is 100% my fault, and I know the risks in advance!

I got 1.3 from a buddy of mine last year....One female did not make it but I still have 1.2 and they are doing great.

I've always liked wide banded sinaloans......

Sinaloans, have always been a favorite of mine. They seem to calm down a lot more than Hondurans also.

That's one snake I have not had the pleasure of owning! I might have to get some in the future. Maybe some pinners?

Killer stuff in the first set, John! Nice looking sinaloae and annulata! What's the story behind that annulata???

I caught that annulata on Jan. 1st in 2005....... It was 90F that day after our historical 8 inches of snow on Christmas morning in 2004.
Found in Jim Wells County, Texas in a firewood pile......

I no longer have him......but would love to find more from that area......the sad part is the 18 wheeler traffic out that way now, with the new Texas oil boom......that area is a snake graveyard. I have seen three DOR tangerine annulata in the past couple years.....

Thanks, you need to do some more road cruising before those truckers nail'em. LOL. You don't see very many locale annulata floating around anymore even though they are great captives.

"How about an amel tangerine spotted pinner?.......lol

Now that's what I'm talking about, it'll be a few years for me though. I have all the ingredients just need to get them breeding. Next year will be the first year of starting that project. The only bad part of this project is that spotted gene is unpredictable and isn't a simple recessive from the info I have gathered.

Love that tangerine pinner......
Thanks

I saw that, kinda looks pied on the head, I have seen some with lots of red on the head but never a clear to whitish coloration like that one. That's definitely going to be a cool project animal. I like the pinner white ones better than the tangerines, but those tangerine pinners I have grown on me.

I actually had to drive in that nasty weather for the last few nights! I'm so hoping it's done. Those Milks are some of the best Anulattas I've seen Jimmy.

Thanks Jorge! Glad you made it through all that. Hopefully it'll stay dry for a few days. I was just down by the Alafia River and it's pretty darn high. I have a buddy that lives up there in New Port Richey that said he had 3-4ft of sand bags around his house and it came with in an inch or two of the top of the sand bags.

The females rarely get over four feet and the males are dimorphic ally smaller and reach about 3 feet......or so....

They are mre lampropeltine than our new world rat snakes and they are ophiophagus as well......

Like bimaculata and situla.....

Thanks Dave.....I tried not to be too "one sided" in the article. I think it came out well.....and wasn't edited too much....I believe it provided info for newbies and the experienced alike....

The ultra granites are some of my favorites too....
