Mexican milk

Ryoko Oct 05, 2003 12:30 PM

Ok are these the snakes you can get in pet stores because I am wanting to bye a milk snake and there is a milk snake in the near by pet place. The snake is red, black, yellow. I know it is some type of milk snake. Well How long do they get to be and the one there is very small?

hi. if you are sure that is a mexican milksnake (annulata) then that is a good beginner milksnake. THey don't get large, around 3 feet is tops. I have a 2 year old male living in a 15 gallon that should be fine for life. THey are excellent feeders.

ok well I think it is but not sure. All I know is it's a milk snake. Well do you have a pic of a mexican milk to make sure I do know what I am talking about because some one told me it was.

Good page with all the lampropeltis (king and milk snakes). You should be able to compare the pics to what you saw in the pet store. Unless it was labeled mexican milk, I'd tend to lean more towards it being a sinoloan milkesnake. Don't see mex milk's in the pet stores to often.
