Wild frogs and baby bird (photos)

HeavenHell Jul 06, 2012 04:30 PM

Here's a few more wild frogs photos that I was lucky enough to take yesterday. Oh also a baby bird that was hangin with the froggies Anyone know what kind of bird it is? I'm always trying to improve on my photgraphy skills so maybe you could tell me which frog photo you like the best and why. That would be great. Thanks for looking.

Oh, the birdie doesn't look too happy, but if you were sitting in the mud looking for your mom, you probably wouldn't be either

You take great pics. I'll always look at off topic pics here, Bobs bulls, Gerards turtles and eastern diamondback...
I liked #1 best followed by #2. I liked how clear the close surroundings were, the pebbles, leaf, and depth of field...#3 looked afraid you were gonna grab him...lol... but all good shots. Bird too, but no idea what he is. somebody will...dave

Thanks for your comments Dave. I think that's my favorite too.

Those are all geat shots. I don't know squat about taking pictures, but I like the first one best. I like the fact that there is more of the scene in focus, and the colored rocks, and variety of elements, make it my favorite. I find pics where the subject is in focus, but the soroundings are not, hard on my eyes. Great shots!

Disclaimer: I do keep several snakes in pairs, and some in groups. However I realize that things can go wrong, and I have to keep a close eye on those groups, to be sure they are not being adversely affected by these living conditions. Also if one happens to eat it's cagemate, it is 100% my fault, and I know the risks in advance!

What's wrong with using CAUTION?!?!?!

Thanks Jorge. Photos were taken in one of my favorite places. It's a wooded area with a spring fed brook running through it. As you walk further back rocky bluffs surround you on all three sides. It was a very hot day 100 , but there were frogs everywhere. It seems like an excellent place for garter and water snakes which I hope to find on my next trip.
