Type 2 Anery Leopard litter

jsschrei Jul 09, 2012 02:18 PM

Found these guys this morning. Mom delivered at 101 days after her POS. No slugs, no stillborns! I don't have a count of anything yet, as I wasn't expecting these for a few more days and couldn't be late to work. I also think it might be hard to tell any Type 2 anery Leopards from regular leopards until they shed.

This is my first experience with boa birth and WOW is it exhilerating!

Mom is doing great. The pair was '08 double het for both genes. Here a few few crappy photos until I can get better ones. Having to rush off to work was rough

Thanks for looking!

Thank you Lar! I think I'm going to have a hard time determining if I have actually hit the combo. I'm waiting to see what they look like after they shed. Most of the leopards are clearly not anery, as they have a lot of pink on their cheeks, neck and belly. There are two that I think might be combos. The Anerys are easy to pick out. I'll post more pics after they've shed.

Litter count was 10 normals 66% double het, 8 Type 2 Anery 66% het leopard and ***11 Leopard 66% het Type 2 Anery***.

Until they shed and I can get a better look at them without stressing them out too much I am not going to make any claim that I hit the combo. Most of the leopards clearly have pink/orange coloring to the cheek, neck and even belly. There are two that I ***suspect*** might be Type 2 Anery as well. I snapped a few quick photos of one of the suspected animals.

More photos of the litter will be posted after they shed.
