My wife took these today and sent them to me. I thought they were pretty good. I still take better pic's than her, don't you think? lol

Well lets make this an educational post for someone.
Why does this king stay in his water bow most the time? Is it a humidity problem? He has a wet moss hide under his water bow and a dry moss hide on the side with the heat pad. I have had the heat pad off here lately because of the heat wave we have had here. My wife likes it in the high 70's to low 80's in the house anyway.

Your wife's pics are pretty good! You may have some competition, lol. My first thought when I hear snake always in the water bowl is temps may be too high. Do you have a temp gun you can check the actual temps with.

Disclaimer: I do keep several snakes in pairs, and some in groups. However I realize that things can go wrong, and I have to keep a close eye on those groups, to be sure they are not being adversely affected by these living conditions. Also if one happens to eat it's cagemate, it is 100% my fault, and I know the risks in advance!
What's wrong with using CAUTION?!?!?!

Yes I do have a fluke 62 mini IR Thermometer. I will check the temps when I get home tomorrow afternoon, and let you know.

Yeah, check them in the hottest part of the day. I had some temp spikes, that I wasn't aware of, that's why those Corns were all stuffed in their bowl. I fixed the problem with an exhaust fan.

My bet is, you have a screen top. That causes your snake to lose moisture and its attempting to stop that.
If that is the case, cover the top. Cheers
Yes I do have screens. Someone told me to cover part of the top a while back, it may have been you and I did not heed that info. I will try that. But I also suspect my wife keeps the house to hot.

Can't tell for since we don't know the precise temps/conditions, but many milks and kings will start going into their water bowls when ambient temps start getting into the mid 80's and above too. If they can escape those warmer temps to the cooler side, then there is no need for them to, but when they don't have a cool ambient side to retreat to, that is what many will do.

Yea, I suspect the temps are to high. My wife is from PA and weighs 100lb soak and wet and always cold. They are in our bed room right now. I just started working on a rack system that I will be able to put in a cooler part of the house with a better heating system.

"2. How many eggs could a 20 inch king even make, if even possible? Remember, they have lungs, a stomach, etc,
