Some new pics of old snakes.

GerardS Jul 11, 2012 04:07 PM

I was taking some pics of turtles and thought I would take a couple of the kings, too. I'm getting ready to set up my new room with vision cages, it's going to be nice to have them in really big cages.
This is that wc Levy county male, a true beast. This thing is so impressive and the f1 and soon f2 animals Nick has made with this male are insane.

This boy is the ch brooks from my wc female, pure as pure can be.

Then there's the skink lovers, if your like some bearded folks that didn't know that. I'm getting some thing really cool in a month or so that is going to make my group complete.

They are doing well and feeding like pigs. Got one clutch of 8 out of one female, but the other I do not think is gravid now. Kinda sucks, but I will have her knocked up next year for sure should she not throw a clutch this year. I have three females for next year now, so I should produce plenty of hatchlings should things go as planned.

That first one is really nice. I've always liked that snake. You don't have a female from the same locale?

Yeah, I have a wc pair that Nick found and started his line with. You should see some of the stuff he is making from all his REAL floridana.

So, you know who Daniel Parker is too, right? He has some of the coolest looking Florida intergrades I've ever seen on his facebook. I mean, they make brooksi and all the other FL king morphs look like just common every day stuff. I wonder why more people here don't have them. Instead they all want to have the same thing everyone else has. (shaking my head in disgust). LOL

I like this one better than the Levy!

Disclaimer: I do keep several snakes in pairs, and some in groups. However I realize that things can go wrong, and I have to keep a close eye on those groups, to be sure they are not being adversely affected by these living conditions. Also if one happens to eat it's cagemate, it is 100% my fault, and I know the risks in advance!
