Well, its beginning, and the new enclosure isn't done yet!

I've spent the day on the 'puter, and the entire time Tempest has been thumping around his current enclosure, headbobbing, tail whipping, body slamming... grumpy grumpy! I let him out, nope thats not good enough, he stomped back into his enclosure and whumped against the walls some more. Think I can officially call it the beginning of breeding season yet? At least he's not orange, and I can still handle him if I'm careful.

Anyone else have an ig that body slams the walls? He HURLS himself sideways and makes a huge thump, then headbobs like crazy. That new cage can't get here soon enough!

Is this the first time you have been through breeding season
with him? If my memory is right didn't you get him about this
time last year?

What you explain he is doing is hard for me to imagine. My
girl is so sweet all the time (I hope it stays that way).

Hang in there, hopefully his behavior will be short lived!

It will be a year ago on Oct 15 that Tempest arrived here, yep Right now, he's crashed out and looks so sweet and adorable, sleeping, but thats after flying up and down from the bottom to the top of his cage a few times. I let him out for a while, he ripped around the room, climed to the back of the couch, glared at me for about 20 minutes and stomped, and I kid you not his little iggy feet were stomping! back into his cage. I noticed today that his feet are going orange, and a little bit up his legs, what a stinker he is going to be over the next little while. I'm thinking this has something to do with why he was dumped this time last year :P So far though, he hasn't really done anything that makes me worry about him hurting himself, which is good. Lots of noise and posing, but nothing really rough.
