Striped Splendida...

Jlassiter Jul 17, 2012 06:54 PM

Just acquired this male striped Desert King.....

I think an amel, hypo or axanthic striper would look nice.....

I wonder if the striping can be refined....

Sweet John! What's the story on those, simple recessive, locale, etc??? Congrats again on a nice pick up. They would be cool in the hypo form kinda look like a chocolate banana Cal. King.

As with most striped kings I believe these to be polymorphic......
But I will soon find out.......he will breed to my axanthic female next year......and my wc Brewster county female possibly....unless I find her a locale mate.

Flintdiver had some of these that were from wc West Texas lineage......

Some would think it's californiae influence but it isnot.....

Thanks Michael...
I consider them uncommon since I've only seen a handful over the years.
