Okay so technically the flower isn't a killer... but it is the flower of a bladderwort

A damselfly being unusually cooperative in the photoshoot

More and more I find my field trips and fishing trips quickly turning into dragonfly/damselfly hunting trips.

As a kid I was blown away by the different colors they come in! I was very mean to Dragon flies though. I would tie sewing thread to their tails and fly them like kites. It worked great for a little while anyway.

Disclaimer: I do keep several snakes in pairs, and some in groups. However I realize that things can go wrong, and I have to keep a close eye on those groups, to be sure they are not being adversely affected by these living conditions. Also if one happens to eat it's cagemate, it is 100% my fault, and I know the risks in advance!

What's wrong with using CAUTION?!?!?!

At 53 I'm still blown away by the colors... I saw these big red dragonflies this past weekend but was unable to get pics... care to guess what I'll be trying to do this coming weekend?

Does look a bit menacing doesn't it... here's a side view of him looking a little more agreeable.
