jsschrei Jul 27, 2012 11:30 AM

of Hog Island babies. Mom gave birth mid day yesterday. Only one tater. These guys have already crawled out of the goo. This is our last litter for 2012.

Photos: goo pile, a baby, the parents together.

Thanks for looking!

congrats on another wonderful litter. I don't think people give hog island boas their proper due. I really feel they are some of the most beautiful naturally occuring boas out there.
On another note, weren't you getting out of boas? Glad to see you are still involved. Will you be having a table at pomona?

Thanks for the compliments. I think these will be as nice as their parents.

I sold 19 of my 26 boas. I also sold about 60% of my ball pythons and 50% of my corns. Work has gotten very demanding and I had to make some tough decisions to sell many of the animals I had been raising from babies. Every time something hatches or is born I realize I would have made a big mistake if I sold it all. I just love this hobby. It tickles my inner scientist

I have one albino/hypo het albino pair that I kept also and they will produce next season.

I won't have a table at Pomona, I'm just too busy. Nothing I have will be established enough to take there anyways. I'll probably go as a customer though. I might do Pomona in January if I still have stuff at that time.

How are things on your end?

Congrats Jessica! It's a beautiful thing isn't it!? It crazy how close the babies match the color of the shredded bedding you have in the cage too. Makes them hard to see as if they are camouflaged. Looks like those puppies were produced in a Boa making machine too! I love to see that as well. Congrats on a great litter!

They were produced in a Boa making machine! Thanks Jeff I used krinkle paper for mom's beeding. Over the last few years I became increasingly allergic to aspen bedding. The krinkle paper worked great. Mom liked to tunnel under it while gravid.
