Leopard Boa Question

marcp Jul 27, 2012 03:14 PM

Any idea of a fair price for a 2012 male leopard boa? I have an adult 2009 female leopard boa and want a male. I have been offered 800-900 for her so I am figuring a nice 2012 male should be about 500. If you tell me 400 please connect me with that seller. Thanks.

If someone is offering you 900 for a 2009 female they must be crazy aside from that contact Bob McPhee I know he just had a litter of some killer leopards from a Het female I sold him a few years back.

He's always pretty reasonable when it comes to prices and his animals are GREAT!!!

Thanks Brandon!
And yes I have about 20 leopards from this season. As far as pricing... It all depends...
I have my Leopards listed at a bit more than your assumed price of $500. But your comparison based on someone offering you $900 for an adult female Leopard is very low in my opinion. An adult female leo should fetch $1500 or more.

Thanks guys. I will check out your website. I seem to get a lot of mixed opinions on pricing depending on whether someone is selling to me or buying something from me. I know it is the business but I wish people would be more realistic instead of always lowballing when they are buying and exaggerating when they are selling. The inconsistency says a lot about the hobby.

I can kind of see what your saying....
But...
As with all industries there are good guys and bad guys to deal with. I understand your frustration, but you cant use the bad guys to defi
ne the industry.

I sold my male and female leopards for $650 for the last two years. I have another litter due in a month, and assuming the rest of the gestation goes well, I will be selling them again for $650. Personally, I think anywhere from $650 to $1000 is a good price for a male or female 2012 leopard.
