John,
That was a proper introduction! Good on ya, man. Parting people from money these days takes an almost "see it to believe" Ad. Again, well done.

I am still not seeing any co-dominance? Where is the co-dominance? You bred a green to a green and got more greens? That makes it co-dominant? What about the fact that it is most likely like the reds, you know, a line bred trait. Also if you have been working on the project for 6 years, you would think that there would be more animals produced.

No one is doubting you have green snakes. What people are questioning is the claim that they are co-dominant. You have not shown a single sred of proof that it is a co-dominant gene at play here. And to be quite honest, in over 20 years of keeping anf breeding reptiles, I have never seen a co-dominant color morph in any species.

My opinion, you are working with nothing more than some nice green normals worth a fraction of what you are asking and I really hope no one gets suckered into buying them for the rediculous price you are asking. Doubling the price still does not make it a real, new, co-dominant gene dude.

Thats funny, I forgot all about the co-dominance part, I'm just impressed with the fact that they are still green after 6 years.

Joe, you and I must have a new green co-dominant morph as well. LOL.

lucasjennings Aug 01, 2012 05:16 PM

whoops! me too!

Really no color morphs how about the pastel ball python? or lessers, mojo's and butters and I'm sure there are more but hey what do I know

Gregg_M_Madden Aug 01, 2012 07:24 AM

The super form of those morphs is a dramatic change and is actually a pattern AND color change in the super form.

Your partner bred a normal to a green and got one holdback green from the clutch. Then he bred that holdback to the green and got some more greens. Where has this been proven to be co-dominant? You get the same results from breeding reds. No one has ever claimed the red to be co-donimant. Where are all of the other offspring? How many are there?

Its funny how all those generations you would have to breed to prove a morph but your partner only has 2 racks. LOL.
An 8 year old female who is 300 grams at best? The slip up when your partner said he picked the 2nd generation male up off the ground. LOL. Your partner shows only 4 animals with a variation in green coloration. Points to a normal looking hatchling and says this is a super form?

Good luck selling your normals as something more than what they are. I bet you can sell them all day long at $80 to $100. Like I said, nice polygenic, linebred greens. Just like the rest of them.

good points Greg.

Ok, I gotta say again, good job on the video. It disputes for the most part any kind of "enhancement". It also shows generations. Some of the animals are refered to as held back or hold backs. My question is where are the animals you did not hold back? Are you the only one with this Gene or original co-dom or are there others out there? Also, there was what I may call a slip in the vid when you introduced the 2nd gen and said "when I picked this one up off the ground" to later be corrected, but Hmmmmm.
