When do chams start to change colors?

i have a 3 month veiled and i was wondering when the amazing colors would show up.

about 5 months or so. they kinda appear overnight. one night you will see some color bands on him, and then they will get brighter and brighter over the next few months.

yeah my nosey be cross i have is 6 months old seemed like his colors get better each time he sheds.
