Very cool. What made you choose to go with maternal incubation?

Massive incubator failure last year. Lost a lot of eggs and the babies that hatched were severely kinked and died soon after.
I figured I would try maternal this year with a normal x albino clutch and let mamma do the work. All I really did with this clutch was mist to keep the humidity up.

Very nice. I'd be happy to hear more about how this worked out for you when the babies emerge. What temperature was the tub at for the most part to get a 60 day incubation?

How do you think the mother is doing after the long incubation? I have heard people don't do maternal because the females won't (or often won't) eat while on a clutch, but my biggest females regularly go off food for 60 days or more with very little loss of weight. Did you find this was the same thing?

She ate while coiled around the eggs.

That pic is awesome. I have never seen that before.
