he's home and a beauty!!!

i've finally been able to sit down. early this afternoon we picked up my WIFE's new male sambava. he's about 5 months old. when i first saw him this morning he was just plain green and like a burst red. we got home and my wife got him out of the little "critter keeper" we brought him home in and he fired up. my wife hollered, " dennis get out here quick!" i thought something was wrong with him only to see a very colorful and pretty chameleon! wife says this one is hers. she wants to name him. she even n=ghot bit by him already! lol moving him from the cage and plant i have set up outside to sun my first one to his new cage in the house(in the house until i finish the chamelon tent i set up in the garage). she was trying to put him into the cage and he started up her arm. she tried to pick him up around his body and i told her not that way, let him climb onto you don't pick him up. with the bit of comotion he started gaping, i told my wife just set still and let him calm down. well he bit her before calming down. she bled everywhere, her thumb nearly fell off....ok not really. no blood and she still has her thumb. i ask what it felt like and she said like when you have tape and slip and catch your finger on the serated tape cutter thing. she said it didn't really hurt. anyway he is a beauty and i'm definatly happy with this purchase! i'll have pictures soon. we're goin to leave him alone for a couple days to settle in.

That was the Sambava from Amazing Blue right? Get some pics of him fired up. I wanna see what he looks like. I have a Sambava from them that hasn't fired up very good yet. I have bred him 1 time, and even then he only got excited for a short second. Right before trying to attck the female. Later on I know he'll get nicer colors (the really good colors come in after a year of age). He's about 9 months old now.
