Hi guys,

I'm a newbie when it comes to hognoses. I want to built a rack system for some new babies that I will be getting in the next few weeks.

My question for you experienced keepers, do you guys prefer belly heat or back heat? Is one better for babies and the other better for sub adults and breeder animals?

Thanks in advance for the input.

Jason

It does not matter either way. I have racks with belly heat and racks with back heat. There is no difference in growth, digestion, or feeding frequency in my experience.

I use both back and belly heat. My baby racks have back heat and everything else has belly heat. Both seem to work fine.
