Nice Joe! My female looks like she will be a dark one. My male looks like your females. I like those moles too!

Disclaimer: I do keep several snakes in pairs, and some in groups. However I realize that things can go wrong, and I have to keep a close eye on those groups, to be sure they are not being adversely affected by these living conditions. Also if one happens to eat it's cagemate, it is 100% my fault, and I know the risks in advance!

Joe the thought did cross my mind. Mine are 3 feet, at only one year old. I have no doubt they would be even bigger but I have not had great production with my rodents lately. I guess the heat is slowing them down. I may need to time my snake breeding a bit later so that babies start hatching after the peak of summer.

LOL, We all like to see pics!!!! The males are not quite as nice as my females, at least not yet, and are a little smaller. I can't wait to see what these things look like when fully mature. They are, without question, the most aggressive feeders I have ever seen.

Are the females getting more food? Weird the boys are smaller. I should be getting a pair of these this year. Thanks for the pics Joe!

Lu, the females have just got a head start on the males in the feeding department. The males are catching up fast. I really like these things but have to watch out when opening the enclosures!!! Once they see I don't have any food for them, which the vast majority of the time I DO, they relax a little. Just fed the big girl six adult mice last night and she wanted more......

Nice stuff as always Joe! You know how I feel about the moles, but the sand kings are awesome too! How big are they?

joecop Aug 06, 2012 08:54 PM

Paul, the sand kings in the pics are just over three feet. The mole king in the first pic is 35 inches long and the second female is 22 inches long. I think the parents of these sand kings are very large kings if I remember correctly.
