Jasper / Chocolate babies

waspinator421 Aug 03, 2012 09:53 PM

Jasper and Chocolate had a nice sized litter of 18 healthy normal babies. Some variety in shades... from very dark to nice oranges. I bred the two based on their neck patterning, and some of the babies have inherited a bit of it. Many have blushing as well, but I'm not sure where that came from!

Seeing stuff like this just gets me even more excited, I have a female at home that's been acting differently and gives me the feeling I could walk in at any minute and find babies in the cage.

Very cute babies, Congrats!

Aubrey,

Great looking clutch!!! I am trying to see what neck pattern you are talking about... Do you mean the two spots like 02 and 14?

I like the color of 10. 14 is a cool looking animals!!! Is 14 going to be a hold back?

Thanks John! Yeah, the neck pattern is very subtle. Yes, 02 & 14 have them as well as 12. I do have some animals in my collection with much better neck spotting, but the mother of this litter (Chocolate) has short set of double lines instead of double spots. Trying to extend those into a double stripe. Will take many many many years I'm sure.... that is if I'm successful.

14 will likely be a holdback, but I would have rather 12 been male. More going on there, but 14 is still interesting. We shall see.

Will do. Glad to hear they are doing so well! Zuul is definitely gravid again this year, so I'm hoping for some more killer looking ones.
