Chaz Syndrome for Possible Hets

NUCCIZ_BOAS Aug 07, 2012 04:44 PM

The babies in this unexpected litter today have what I like to call "Chaz Syndrome." Chaz has a way of buying possible hets that look more like visuals than some 100% hets Ive seen. The type of possible hets you'd bet your life on to prove out....

This litter was unexpected because I never caught ovulation and she never had a shed, but either way, HOLY COW!!!!! almost 40 babies with only 2 slugs!

Hypo Harlequin het VPI x Hypo..... making these possible super hypos 50% het VPI, but by the looks of these, DEFINATELY hets. Chaz Syndrome in full affect!

And yes, the supers are REALLY that light in color, they look almost albino.

Now take a look at this super next to a normal from the litter. look how dark these normals are..... Almost looks IMG doesn't it? Very black in the sides.... Going to be interesting to see them mature....

If those supers aren't hets, I might as well retire..... I was looking forward to a cool litter of possible supers/possible hets, but I wasn't ready for this..... WOW!

Thanks
Tony

Tony, Congrats on such a huge and colorful litter. That normal you showed looks very interesting also.

Marcus,

Thanks bud! All of the normals came out looking like that, it's not just a few, theyre all very dark and have a charcoal look to them. Im thinking I may hold onto them and see if they color up any differently than a normal, maybe this is a new line of IMG??? (A guy can dream, lol)

Also, the super hypos are weird too. Obviously they are all possible supers, but they have VERY different looks. Some just look like normal hypos, then there is 2 types of supers in this letter. Some just look like normal super hypos, others have this very clean white (almost albino) look to them.

Im going to go out on a limb and say the white ones are the supers that prove out het VPI, the other supers without the extreme color are just the super hypos. Maybe Im wrong, just a prediction.

Man you have to show some more pics. In my experience the t pos gene does kind of leak through on a lot of the hets, so I would not be surprised if those real light ones prove out. It is going to interesting watching those dark ones progress.
Congrats again.
