The natural beauty of locality bulls. How many posts will exploit morph after morph before someone, anyone, posts the most beautiful bull there is? Natural locality. Nothing compares to the real deal. Hey, if I breed a brown-nosed, three eyed, purple , scaleless bull with a pink, bulge-eyed dwarf-headed multi het for every friggin other thing on the planet bull, will I get a two headed freak bull? Yup! But please, don't stop posting those F-20s!

Don't be shy Mr. TWrecks, show us some of those Killer locale's you're hiding! I mean no disrespect, and I feel your pain...I learned a long time ago, the cool thing about being a "morph breeder" is that both sides of the fence are just as appealing as parking smack dab in the middle, sitting on the top looking down...every single genetic mutation had a very natural begining, we are simply the manipulators of the crayons we've been given, and personally,I can't resist the temptation of "coloring outside the lines". If "nature" hadn't given us these gems we'd all be claiming one geographic variant was better than the others!!! (*rock on my brothah*)

TWRECKS Aug 09, 2012 07:22 PM

LOL! I worked ten hours sweating my coconuts off in the heat and high humidity and your post is the first thing to make me smile all day. You are right. Well put.

LucasJennings Aug 10, 2012 08:41 AM

glad we have an understanding! LOL!

I love morphs but really like the Kankakees locale. And who can resist a hot Stillwater!

TWRECKS Aug 10, 2012 07:16 PM

I got Stillwaters early on as far as availability. Yours resemble that. I also sold a pair of really red Crumly reds to KJ which bred to produce some of the reddest bulls I've seen yet. I still like Ginter's better because it is a proveable natural locality bullsnake. Kudos to John for his work in all aspects of bulls and for his integrity. You too.

By the way, I am getting rid of a trio of awesome Kankakees from Phil Peak but will never get rid of my Jasper county BLACK bulls from Daniel Parker. The male looks like an Eastern Kingsnake from a glance and is an eating, crapping, growing machine.

Kankakee Bulls - I caught them myself.

Male:

Female:

It's useful to keep in mind that a lot of morphs originate from wild-caught animals. This hypomelanistic Eastern Milk was found a few months ago. As far as I know it's the only one known to exist.

It's only natural that a herper would want to breed and perpetuate something unusual that they find in the wild.
