Introducing The Leopard Clown

Lizards of Oz Aug 13, 2012 09:40 AM

After producing the first Leopard Pied Clown and seeing how cool it looked I couldn't wait to see what a Leopard Clown without the Pied influence would look like. I had one last shot at it this year with a male Leopard 100% Double Het Pied Clown bred to a female 100% Het Clown. This girl is a 2006 animal and has never given me a clutch so I didn't have high hopes. I backed up this breeding with a male Mystic as an afterthought just in case the Leopard didn't get it done. The first two eggs I cut were normals and the third a Mystic. With that my hopes for hatching a Leopard Clown in this clutch were pretty well shot. Then to my surprise the next two I cut were Leopards so I started to regain some hope. The final egg I cut was this gorgeous male Leopard Clown! I couldn't believe it. I can't wait to see all the cool combos that can be made with the Leopard Clown and Leopard Pied Clown.

I'll get more pics after he sheds. He just crawled out of his egg this morning, but I couldn't wait to share him. Let me know what you guys think.

Very awesome. The lack of the face stripes makes it look like a totally different species. Nice :D
