Bull Snakes from the '12 Season PICS

JonelLopez Aug 15, 2012 09:04 AM

First off..."to each his own"...and be nice to each other folks!

Anyway, I just wanted to show off what hatched out this season on my side. I didn't breed a whole lot of animals this year to focus on other things so I only produced a few clutches from my projects. The season have been luke warm as far as multiple combos and high male to female ratio(2:1) to say the least. But I was still blessed to produce some very nice animals from my breeders. So, here are their pics. Excuse some of the specks of vermuculite on their faces . Didn't see those until i cropped the pics, hehe.

Some great looking bullsnakes Jonel.
All the patternless and axanthic stuff is my cup of tea.
Still happy with the ones I bought from you 2 years ago.
Will try to breed them next season and hope for some patternless babies.

john dhont Aug 16, 2012 06:00 AM

Just want to add that your pictures are amazing as usual.
How do you manage to make them not to move while you take the pictures.
Mine are most of the time behaving as devils and strike at the camera.

JonelLopez Aug 17, 2012 02:54 AM

Thanks for the compliments John. Glad the animals are doing well. As far as taking pics. I cover them with a jar lid and wait a few minutes for them to relax then lift the lid. You have to be quick since they would move in a split second but sometimes they just sit in the same position. I also manipulate them a little to get them for face the camera as needed. Makes it more appealing when the subject is looking at you.

Those are some very nice babies!

Is this a male? I need a patternless male for my patternless sunglow female.

Hi Tony

There is some variability on the white-sided morphs as Jason have showed previously on another post. This is partly due to the different morphs/locales that have been crossed to produce the multi-hets etc. IMO.

Congrats Jonel

Incredible animals as always. My fav is the Patternless/Speckled Axanthic. I like the little bit of pattern it has, very cool.
