New book on rainbows

brick1 Aug 15, 2012 06:04 PM

Hey guys,
i mentioned it in the post below, but for those that dont know, there is a new book on rainbows out.
Its a published by Chimaira and is called
Rainbow Boas - Natural History and Captive Husbandary

Im not sure if i can put a link in here, or where it is available in the US
But if you google "bigreptileworld" you can find John Berry selling it in the UK.

I know there is a few of us on the KS rainbow forum that managed to get pictures in.
It only arrived yesterday, so havent really had much of a read, but it does seem pretty in depth

cheers

Does this compare very well to the Ball Python and Hognose books from John Berry? I thought they were both done very well myself and think would be nice to see a book that covered rainbows on the same level as those.

I'll keep an eye out for it and see if I notice one on a table at daytona this weekend to take a peak at if possible.

It seems like its been written by 2 germans, with John writing the short section on morphs. Its a lot of pages, so will take me a while to give an honest answer to it though...

Dave,

I saw that a little while ago. I placed an order for it through Amazon but it's coming from Germany and is going to take 2 - 4 weeks to get to me. I am hoping it's in English, I forgot to check before placing the order... fingers crossed.

I'll read it as soon as it comes and give everyone my 2 cents.

Cliff,

I just picked it up on amazon for 30-something. Not a bad price, I thought.

Congrats on finding one there for that price...I tried looking just now and found three copies, a used one for 66$ and two new ones priced at 75$ and 80$. I'll keep checking it though, if you found one there for that price, then I'm sure another will show up eventually.
