Hernando Co., Fl Kingsnake, 2012 hatch from a probable gravid WC female. Hernando Co. is north of Tampa. After capture she was bred with another Hernando Wc male but its unlikely he fathered the clutch. Either way this guy is awesome. His Mom has some specks on her but for the most part these are dark Kings that can change very little from juvenile color. I also have a sibling female but she is deep in shed, pics to follow.

Dade Co. Brooksi King (Mesa Stock). This F1 female is in the transitional "ugly stage" but should turn into a stunning adult.

Those are all very nice. Will the orange in the eyes change too?

Ugly stage? That snake is beautiful. Those hatchlings have more of a EK look, kind of like hatchlings from up my way except for the raised crossbars. Nice.

Hernando Co. is in the Florida and Eastern Kings integration zone. Love the integrade Kings, the best of both worlds. This guy reminds me of the NJ Easterns I used to breed way back when.

There is nothing ugly about that Dade county King! The Hernando is cool too!

Disclaimer: I do keep several snakes in pairs, and some in groups. However I realize that things can go wrong, and I have to keep a close eye on those groups, to be sure they are not being adversely affected by these living conditions. Also if one happens to eat it's cagemate, it is 100% my fault, and I know the risks in advance!

I call it the ugly stage because to me it's not as pretty as a juvenile or as pretty as it will be as an adult. Maybe tweener would be a better term.

Nice, That "ugly phase" really is pretty cool. The mottling of the different colors is neat, especially that copper color.
