One normal, one ghost and one big addiction. What do I do now?

Last May I bought a normal ball. She was my third snake, the others being corns. Last November I added a second ball who was to be my fifth snake, a male ghost. I thought that if I could get my hands on a morph I'd be satisfied. Well, I wasn't, so then I decided I would try a new species and maybe that would help me forget about balls and hold on to my $$$. I now own 7 snakes, the newest a jungle carpet python- and she is just sweet! I love everything about her.

But I have a problem. I still want more ball pythons.

And I don't mean normals, or even another ghost. I was in Daytona for the big show this year and now I want axanthics, pastels and pieds, pieds, pieds! I thought pieds were ugly until I saw one in person!! Totally awesome. I crave pieds, and if I won the lottery the first thing I'd do is call up Ralph Davis and have a chat with him about giving up one of his Lucy's.

I'm poor, but I could work out a payment plan or get myself another credit card. I really love balls. I'd love to try and breed 'em. Mostly I just want more. So after all this, what's my point? Well what should I get? I am poor, poor, poor, but I can't not buy another morph. I was thinking pastel since they're cheapest. Those pastel ghosts are rockin. That would mean getting a pastel female and while I'm growing her up I'd make some ghost hets. But pastel males are cheaper. I could then grow him up, breed him to my normal and hopefully get some pastel girls to grow up to breed with my ghost male. By then who knows how many other snakes I'd be forced to buy with my addiction. Should I go for the big investment now and get a female, knowing I've never bred snakes or should I get a male and then have to really work at getting some double hets for pastel ghost?
Thanks if anyone read this whole thing.

I absolutely LOVE my one and only Ball, and surely want more. I too am looking for a non-normal Ball, but I don't want to spend the cash for them, so I'll stick to normals. I don't think there is a single Ball morph I can afford, or would want to spend the money on. Maybe a high yellow or something!! Good luck, just DON'T get another credit card! They are evil!! Whatever you do pay cash, or least mostly cash!! Good luck!

A suggestion, get a female pastel to breed to your male ghost. This is going to be a HOT item and the pastel het for ghost will be worth big $$$$. Then buy what you want and you won't be poor anymore!

Not sure if I'm allowed to do this but I'm rather excited about it all the same! I spoke to Corey Woods who's advertising on the classifieds - he is selling male 100% hets for piebalds and orange ghosts for $750 and $200 respectively. I've heard lots of good things about him and I've worked out a really sweet payment plan with him for one of each of the above from next year's hatch. This year I'm concentrating on getting nice-looking, quality CB normal or poss het females so that they will be plenty big enough when the male hets are up to breeding size. It may take a few years and who knows, it may be more costly to take care of all the females and young for the time it takes to breed them all out but if you're as into pieds as I am but don't have a spare $10-20k lying around in one big chunk then it might be a ways to go.
