First hatchling shed

nipro_style Aug 18, 2012 07:45 AM

How long does it take for a new hatchling to do its first shed?
I have a 6 days bumblbee that didn't shed yet.
Should I be worried and what to do?

Normally 7-12 days.
Dont worry.

There are several good books that you can read on the subject of ball python care and breeding including Kevin McCurley's "The Conplete Ball Python". It will answer almost any question you have.

Another good source is to google ball python breeding Jayne and go to Markus Jayne's breeding page. He lays the whole process out nicely so you know what to expect.
