It's been so hot and dry for the last several weeks that the herping around here has been terrible. Other than the occasional juvenile Eastern Garter, I haven't seen a wild snake since I was in Las Vegas in June.
For the last week or so it's cooled down and we've had a decent amount of rain. This evening I decided to give snake hunting a shot and I found this fine young milk.
