Dave,
It was a good show, I over heard a few BP guys say they didn't sell anything all weekend. All the king and milk guys did well, some better than others. (well at least the ones that I know) I did well didn't sell out but certainly had a lot of interests in what was being offered. I didn't have much time to walk around and chit chat.
Finally met a few guys from the forums and was able to talk to some of the older ones about locales and collection/import data. Didn't see any out of the ordinary animals as far as Lampropeltis goes. Lee Abbott had a sweet looking pied blood red corn that looked like some one took a white snake and sprayed it with red spray paint. Didn't get a chance to get a photo though. There was a couple empty tables, but I guess Wayne booked it for the next 2 years anyway.
Hopefully, some others will post some pics for you. Lots of pic takers walking around.

Glad to hear those BPs aren't selling......LOL
They are only being traded for $15K worth of other morphs......
I think the only thing that sells to the "public" are the low end morphs that have been around for a few years.....Spiders, Bumblebees, Pastels, Pieds and Amels....etc

Jimmy, it was good seeing you there. Your setup was very nice. I would agree the colubrids were less represented than the boids. There were a fair amount or corn types, including the incredible "Palmetto " corn that was NFS. I was surprised by the good number of Florida king morphs going for so little $$. Large yearling and 2 yr. old snakes for $20- 45 , I guess what you read on the internet is not always true....
On a side note, I did cross over to the dark side, the dark continent side ! Not completely, but that means I will be thinning the colubrid collection somewhat. My best score was a $30 CB 2012 female Mandarin rat,she had boys too for the same price, they just were not as bright as this girl. That vendor also had screamin leonis Thayeri for prices I should not mention here. Needless to say, she had none of that stuff left an hour after the show started.
Same here, thanks for the kind words. I wish I would have seen those Mandarins Friday. I didn't have much time to go around but was able to see some cool stuff. Those amel alligators were cool and being next to the Python Hunters I learned a ton of stuff on those genetics just over hearing them being explained. Congrats on the pick ups looking forward to next year already.LOL

Great score with the Mandarin.
That is one snake I like alot and have never kept.
As far as Thayeri go.....
The difference between a $20 thayeri and a $300 thayeri is this. The $20 or "cheap" thayeri have no provenance and are probably "tainted" with other mexicana subspecies or worse, other species or genera. They are "generic" mexicana.
Even if they haven't been compromised genetically there is no sure way to know without knowing their provenance. Looks alone isn't a surefire way anymore. You can cross a Mex Mex to a Ruthveni and produce thayeri phenotypes.
I'd much rather spend over $100 for an uncompromised thayeri than a "maybe" snake that "looks" like a thayeri. And I know MANY that would too......
Rant over....LOL
Wish I could've went this year.
Heading to the Arlington, TX NARBC this weekend though.
Next year I'll head East again for the NARBE.

John, I totally agree with the mutt statement. There was definately some of that there. This woman has been vending the show since it began back in the early 90's. I remember her from back then, when it was in Orlando. She had Pics of all her breeders. They were the real deal, and she had been line breeding them for over 20 years. Don't get me wrong, she along with a few others were the exception at the show. Realistic prices, nice animals. I will share a pic of my pickup in the next day or so.
Your setup was pretty nice, lots of variety. My BP friend did very cash well but. Dint know about the rest, or care. I think there was more cool turtles than anything else, nott because I'm a turtle guy, it's because the whole show is ran by turtle people. Shawn and Jon had their albino alligators hatching at the show. I didn't take any pics, just picked up a bunch of turtles, sold a bunch, and headed home.

Thanks man, there was some really cool stuff that never even made it in the show. Your stuff was top notch, where to next?

I will be at the venomous show at the Twin Towers in Orlando next weekend and then maybe Tinley Park. I will be in Chicago that week on business and was trying to work it out where I could vend that show also. If not, I would at least like to go and see everything there. Can't wait to see all the hots next week. I heard there was only like 5 guys with hots that are going to be there, though.

I will probably hit that up, if the wife is up to it. Hots are my favorite second only to turtles.
