I don't know if it is the best way, but usually I put them in the fridge over night to thaw. (rodent in a plastic zip lock bag, zip lock bag in a brown paper bag so the next person to open the fridge only see's a brown paper bag labeled "Snake lunch" rather than a learing half frozen rat)

Then, the next night I just pop the SEALED zip lock bag into a dish of warm water for about 30 minuites. (I use an old empty peanut butter jar, that way I am not using a people dish if the baggy springs a leak) Sometimes I change the water and add fresh hot water for about another 10 min as well, just to be sure the rodent is warm all the way through, but I don't always do the extra 10 min warm up.

I thaw them in a bucket of hot water from the tap. I don't thaw them out beforehand, even the large rats thaw in a half hour-hour or so.

I probably should put this in a new topis, but i'm new so please forgive me. How long do you thaw them? What temp do you heat them to? I'm new to the f/t thing, so i'm not really sure how to do it.
