New Guy

Well after following this forum for quite a while i guess its time to introduce myself. Like most of you guys I share an incredible passion for working with rainbow boas. I've been keeping a small collection of BRBs for the past ten years or so. Had to put breeding on the back burner so to speak for a couple years while i finished college but am back on the wagon now! This past friday my big female BRB gave birth to 28 full term babies, no stills, no slugs (unless they were eaten). It reminded me how rewarding it is to work with these snakes. This is my first ever litter! I bred the same female 4 years ago but ended up losing the entire litter. the babies from 4 years ago i believe drowned from ruptured sacks as mom was trying to pass slugs. It was heartbreaking but this past friday made the past decade totally worth it! I'm working on getting pics up on here, ik Dave Colling is on me about that, lol. Hope to talk to you guys soon! Cheers!

Thanks
Steve Thompson

Steve,

Welcome to the forum, it’s always great to get new members on here. In addition to this forum, most of us are on the Rainbows fb group.

Congrats on the new litter of BRBs, this time of the year is always an exciting time for all of us as our females begin to drop their surprises.

Of course the long-standing rule in the forum, if theirs no picture- it didn’t happen. HA HA

Ok so I'm a bit ashamed to ask this but how do I post pictures to the forum? Can't seem to figure it out lol

Steve,

No worries, I think we all had trouble figuring that one out in the beginning. It took me a long time and several people trying to explain it to me.

The easiest way to do it is through photobucked. Upload your picture to that website then copy the version that begins and ends with [IMG] Paste it directly on the body of your post.

Good luck, hopefully you’ll figure it out faster than I did.
