my cousin has a young beardie about two inches SVL and it has a yellowish whiteish "thing" from it's vent down it's leg i have not personally seen it but he described it and well it dosen't sound good to me any advice

p.s. he said that he had been keeping a very small water dish in there i told him to remove that and unless he stoped seeing white in it's poop then not to worry about watering it and if he was going to water it to use a spray bottle if any of that is incorrect or conflicting a cure for the... whatever then please tell me

thanks

yellowish whiteish "thing" from it's vent down it's leg

Is this coming out the vent? does it look like tissue or urates?

If tissue, keep it moist and get the bearded to a vet ASAP.. soak it in sugar water and keep it moist with KY jelly or vaseline and get into the vet.

If its urates and not coming all the way out, the dragon may be dehydrated or inpacted and needs soaks, fluid with en eyedropper and still may need to see a vet.

A water bowl in a tank with a dragon is fine, many do drink from a bowl and it will not hurt them.

Is this something actually dangling from it's vent or just a stain running along the skin?

Having water in the tank is fine.

Misting several times a day is good as well, especially with very young dragons.

Till we get more information (picture would be best) on what is going on with your friends dragon, hard to suggest anything.

He could try soaking the dragon in a warm bath, about 80F for 10 minutes or so to see if the yellow thing comes off. Just make sure the water is about shoulder height of the dragon and/or put in a rock or rolled wash cloth so the dragon has something to rest on.

im sorry about the description it was late and he didn't give me much information he told me that it was where the top of the leg meets the body i described what a vent looked like and where it was he said "yeah that is where it is coming from" he told me that it had yellow white and brown im not shure if they were all together or if it was somewhere in between all of them he just told me that it went down the baby's leg i will call him agin today he lives in anouther part of the state or i'd go check it out myself thank you for the information and i think it would be better for him to find a diferent wate bowl if he is going to use one because he was using to my understanding a coke lid any way thanks for your help
