Anery due date August 24th!

rascal_rascal_99 Aug 24, 2012 04:57 PM

Well I caught a nice surprise today, when I checked the anery girls cage the second time she was part way through giving birth...the first picture is dark because I didn't want to use the flash and disturb her. Total count is 13 babies, 7 anerys and 6 hets along with 5 slugs. One baby right in the middle of the shot is still pretty heavily attached to the yolk so I've left it as is, I'm sure in the next couple of days that one will separate from it naturally and be fine.

I do want to give a shoutout thanks to Dave C. for giving me a little help with what temps I needed to keep things at...thanks man!

Thanks Cliff!

And not sore at all actually, this has been a very calm litter so far and I didn't get struck at a single time collecting them all up out of the cage. They were quite energetic trying to run away and explore, but no attitude at all from any of them! I'm sure that'll change quickly though...LOL

Thanks Dave!

That one with the yolk appears fairly strong so I really think it just needs a little time is all and it should be fine. I usually get one or two crb's in a litter the same way so it's not totally new to me...I do appreciate the offer to help and I know how to get hold of you if I need it.

Thanks John!

They're definitely cute little buggers...and for whatever reason the really docile, calm, laid back attitude has now been replaced with the more typical bite anything that moves and sometimes even fingers that aren't moving mentality...gotta love it!

Time to get'em feeding an find new homes now...I think everyone needs more! Haha
